FAQ. Installation message "The entered URL ... could not be verified"

A message appears when installing the ERP "UserSide":

[WARNING] "The entered URL http://some.domain.net could not be verified"

Followed by an indication of an error, e.g.:

! [NOTE] Could not resolve host: http://some.domain.net

indicates that the domain name cannot be resolved to an IP address (the domain name is not listed in NS-servers or hosts).
